The Ruling on Suicide Bombings in Non-Muslim Lands

Question Posed to The Noble Shaykh Zayd al-Madkhalī (may Allāh have mercy upon him):

Q. May Allāh reward you with goodness. There are some people who say: “Indeed the bombings in the lands of the non-Muslims is correct in light of their slaughtering the Muslims in Palestine and other regions.” So what is the origin of this matter? Continue reading

Do Not Expose Your Sins in Front of Family – Shaykh ‘Uthaymeen

The Noble Shaykh Muhammad ibn Saalih al-‘Uthaymeen (may Allah have mercy upon him) stated:

It is befitting for the man if he is one who is afflicted with (the committing of) an act of disobedience from the acts of disobedience that he is diligent upon not letting his family witness him committing it. I’ll give an example for that in the matter of smoking.  Some of the people are afflicted with this act of disobedience.  Then the person smokes in front of his children and as a result of that they become accustomed to this and possibly smoke as their father smokes.  With that, he (the father) becomes one who has directed (his children) to an evil so upon him is the act of sin and the sin of those who acted upon it (due to him) until the Day of Judgment.

Hastily Spreading Misunderstandings Between Brothers

The ‘Allaamah, Shaykh Muhammad bin Haadi (may Allah have mercy upon him) stated:

When there takes place a misunderstanding between two individuals from the brothers, some of them begin to write against others although both of them are upon one path, one methodology and upon (taking knowledge from) the same shuyookh. This path is not good. If you have an observance against him (i.e your brother), this is your brother, give it to him. As for exposing it on the internet, sending it (to others) on the internet and writing it on the net, then this is from the spreading of the faults which is not permissible.

As for the matter of knowledge, this is another affair. As for the matter of refuting the mistakes which the people who committed them are going astray, this is another affair also. And even in the matter of the mistakes, you have from it that which is private and that which is public. Therefore that which is private is not suitable to spread in a public manner. As for that which has circulated, become publicly known and spread among the people, the refutation against it is to be circulated, publicly known and that which is correct is to be spread among the people in order that the people know it and they correct the mistake. Criticizing People Without Evidences

The Noble Shaykh Rabee ibn Haadi al-Madkhalee (may Allah preserve him) stated:

If you do not come with the evidences and reasons for this criticism (that you have made against individuals), the people would see that you have oppressed them, transgressed the boundaries against them and have attacked their practice of the religion without right. Therefore you now become the one who is being accused (of something evil) and you are in need of freeing your practice of the religion and honor (from the accusation of evil).

Foundations of Good Character and Mannerisms

Points From The Friday Khutbah by Abu Yusuf Khaleefah (hafidhahullaah):

  1. The Prophet Muhammad (sallal laahu ‘alaihi wasallam) was the best of the people in character. Allah stated to him:
وَإِنَّكَ لَعَلَىٰ خُلُقٍ عَظِيمٍ
“And indeed you are upon exalted character.” (Soorah Al-Qalam: 4)
  1. He (sallal laahu ‘alaihi wasallam) was sent to perfect the character of the people. He said, “Indeed I have only been sent to perfect the moral character” [1].
  2. Those who have good character are from the best of the people. The Prophet (sallal laahu ‘alaihi wasallam) said, “Indeed the best of you are those who are the best in character” [2].
  3. Those who have bad character are the worst of the people. The Prophet (sallal laahu ‘alaihi wasallam) said about the man who sought permission to enter, and before he entered the Prophet (sallal laahu ‘alaihi wasallam) said about him, “What an evil member or brother of his tribe he is.” When he entered the Prophet was kind to him and gentle. After the man left the Prophet (sallal laahu ‘alaihi wasallam) was questioned about his actions with the man and he responded, “Indeed the worst of the people is the one who the people keep away from out of fear of his bad behavior.”
  4. The most heavy of the things on the scales is having good character. The Prophet said, “Indeed the most heavy of things on the scales is good character” [3].
