A Response That Will Prove the Evil and Blasphemous Nature of The Statements of Amina Wadud

Indeed, the praise is for Allāh; we praise Him and we seek His help and forgiveness. We seek refuge in Allāh from the evil of ourselves and our bad deeds. Whomsoever Allāh guides, there is no one who can lead that person astray, and whomsoever Allāh leads astray, there is no guide for them. I bear witness that none has the right to be worshiped except Allāh and I bear witness that Muhammad is the servant and last messenger of Allāh to all of mankind and jinn. As to what follows:

Allāh has mentioned in the Qurān:

Indeed you have in the Messenger of Allāh a beautiful example. (al-Ahzāb: 36)

He also stated:

And indeed you (Oh Muhammad) are upon exalted character. (al-Qalam: 4)

Extremism in Passing Judgements Upon People

The Noble Shaykh Abdus-Salām Ibn Burjis (may Allāh have mercy upon him) stated:

As for extremism in the passing of judgments upon the people: It is going beyond the (legislated) boundaries in connecting the ruling upon them of: disbelief or innovation or corruption. Concerning the matter of passing these rulings upon the specific individual, it’s a must that the conditions be fulfilled and the obstacles be removed, just as the the scholars of Ahlus-Sunnah wal-Jamaʿah have agreed upon. From this angle, the statements of the scholars have followed that the one who is going to pass these judgments upon the people regarding their creed or their integrity must be from the people of knowledge and piety. From that is the statement of al-Hāfiẓ adh-Dhahabi (may Allāh have mercy upon him): “The speech regarding the (condition of) men is not permissible except with complete knowledge/understanding and the complete fear (of Allāh).” Continue reading

A Blessed Sitting With Our Noble Shaykh, Al-‘Allaamah Rabee’ Bin Haadee al-Madkhalee (hafidhahullaah)

All praise is for Allah the Almighty Who allowed us to sit with a scholar from the scholars of Ahl-us-Sunnah to judge and aid in bringing about a resolution to the differing which has been occurring in America over the past few years between some of the Salafi students of knowledge, which as a result adversely affected the Salafis in the West as a whole. This is a summary of the main points of the meeting:

كان الشيخ ربيع ( حفظه الله) يرحب بنا في بيته و يتلطّف بالإخوة من الطرفين

The Origin Of A Muslim Is Not That He/She Is Salafi

Shaykh Abdullah al-Bukhaari (may Allah preserve him) mentioned:

The origin regarding the Muslim is not that he is a Salafi; we say the origin regarding the Muslim is that he is a Muslim. Whoever’s Islam is established with certainty, it’s not removed except with certainty. The description that he is a Salafi is an added description to the (description of) Islam. It’s like you say that so and so is just; it’s not possible for him to be just and (yet) he’s not a Muslim. Therefore it’s a must that he be a Muslim (first) in order that, afterwards, there can be matters where you may that he is just. So the integrity is an added description to Islam. This is a matter that requires knowledge and experience of the person’s [i.e. person being described] situation in order that he be described as being just. Likewise the description of him being a Salafi: you’re in need of knowledge, experience, a (trustworthy source of) praise (for him) and the likes in order that it can be said about him that he’s Salafi… Continue reading

5 Steps To Correcting The Mistake Which The Salafi and Other Than Him Has Fallen Into

Shaykh Muhammad Ibn ‘Umar Baazmool (may Allah preserve him) stated:

The First Step: Acknowledging the reality that every child of Aadam makes mistakes and the best of those who make mistakes are those who repent often. This is the first step in dealing with the mistake when the Salafi or other than him from amongst the people have fallen into the mistake.

The Second Step: We look at the matter which the person has fallen into; is it from the matters of Ijtihaad? Or is it from the matters where the evidence is apparent which mandates traversing towards it? This matter is in need of a (well-grounded) student of knowledge or a scholar to whom we raise up the affair of this brother. We say to him: Oh Shaykh, so and so made a mistake (in such and such matter). How do we deal with him? How should our stance be regarding him? That’s because it’s possible that, that which this brother has fallen into is from the matters of Ijtihaad and not from the matters which mandate him to traverse towards that which the evidence indicates.
