Pondering Over the Qurān is Following It
Al-Hasan Al-Basri (may Allāh have mercy upon him) stated about the statement of Allāh:
كِتَابٌ أَنزَلْنَاهُ إِلَيْكَ مُبَارَكٌ لِّيَدَّبَّرُوا آيَاتِهِ وَلِيَتَذَكَّرَ أُولُو الْأَلْبَابِ
A blessed book We have revealed to you in order that they may ponder over its verses and in order that those of understanding may reflect.” (Saad: 29)
The reflecting over its verses is nothing but following it with actions. By Allāh, it’s not the memorization of its letters and the wasting of its prescribed limits. It’s to the point that one of them says: 《By Allāh, I read the entire Qurān and I do not leave off one letter》 but he indeed has left off all of it (in practice). You don’t see in him the mannerisms of the Qurān nor the actions. It’s to the point that one of them says: 《By Allāh, indeed I read the Sūrah in one breath》By Allāh, these individuals are not (true) reciters, nor scholars, nor wise, nor people of religious piety. When have the (true) reciters ever said the likes of this?! May Allāh not increase the likes of these individuals among the Muslims!! Continue reading

Stay Out Of That Which Is Between The Scholars And Students Of Knowledge
Three Categories of Knowing The Truth
Shaykhul-Islām Ibn al-Qayyim (raḥimahullâh) stated:
The people are divided into three categories regarding knowing the truth and acting in accordance to it. That’s because the servant (of Allâh) is either one who knows the truth or ignorant of it. And the one who knows the truth either he is one who acts in accordance to its requirements or opposes it. These are the categories of people who are (held) responsible and they don’t ever leave (from these categories). The one who knows the truth and acts in accordance to it, he is the one who is favored (by Allâh). He is the one who has purified himself with the beneficial knowledge and righteous actions and he is the one who is successful. Continue reading
The Description of Knowledge – Shaykh ibn Taymiyyah
Shaykhul-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah (may Allah have mercy upon him) stated:
There are many from the students of knowledge whose intention with the knowledge is nothing except the attainment of leadership or wealth, and for every person is that which he intended. As for the people of knowledge and religion, they are the (true) people of knowledge. This is what’s intended with them due to its benefit for them and their need Continue reading
Ignorance and Knowledge
Shaykhul Islaam Ibn al-Qayyim (may Allah have mercy upon him) stated:
Allah is not disobeyed except by way of ignorance and Allah is not obeyed except by way of knowledge.
The Knowledge is Provisions from Allah
A precious benefit from the Noble Shaykh Ibn Baaz (may Allah have mercy upon him):
Allah the High stated:
ومن يتق الله يجعل له مخرجا ـ ويرزقه من حيث لا يحتسب
“And whoever fears Allah, He will make a way out for him (from every difficulty) and provide for him from where he didn’t perceive. (Surah 65:2-3)”

Spreading Knowledge is Spreading The Religion of Allaah
The Noble Shaykh Muhammad Ibn Saalih al-‘Uthaymeen (may Allah have mercy upon him) stated:
In your spreading of the knowledge is a spreading of the religion of Allah. Therefore you will be from the Mujaahideen (those who strive) for the path of Allah. The Mujaahid for the path of Allah opens up the lands, land by land until the religion spreads therein. You open up the hearts with knowledge until the legislation of Allah spreads therein.

Follow the Truth, Not the People
Allah said:
{ أُولَٰئِكَ الَّذِينَ هَدَى اللَّهُ ۖ فَبِهُدَاهُمُ اقْتَدِهْ }
“Those are the ones whom Allah had guided, so follow their guidance.”
Allah said, “Follow their guidance” and he didn’t say, “Follow them.”
