Nowadays the phenomenon that has emerged (with some people) is their saying: ‘It’s a controversial issue’. We say, when there is a difference of opinion, the proof should be followed, we should not worship (Allah) with people’s disagreements and views. We worship (Allah) through (following) the proof. So we should refer the disagreement to the proof. Whatever is supported by the proof is the truth and whatever is contrary to the proof is falsehood. Allah has not left us to the views, sayings and disagreement. Rather He says: Continue reading →
Question Posed to The Noble Shaykh Sālih al-Fawzān (may Allāh preserve him):
Question: An abundance of trials and tribulations, occurrences and jealousy have been noticed in this time. Is this from the signs of the establishment of the Hour?
Answer: Without a doubt, the trials and tribulations are from the signs of the establishment of the Hour. There’s no might or power except with Allāh. It is upon the Muslim that he ask Allāh for the safety from the trials and tribulations and that when they take place, he doesn’t participate in it. Continue reading →
Question posed to The Noble Shaykh Saalih al-Fawzaan (may Allah preserve him):
Question: Some of the people have claimed that as-Salafiyyah is considered a group from among the active groups present today and its ruling is the ruling of the rest of the groups. What is your refutation for this claim?
Answer: We have mentioned that al-Jamaa’ah as-Salafiyyah is the original Jamaa’ah which is upon the truth, which is obligatory to connect oneself to, work with and ascribe oneself to. That which is other than it from the groups, it’s obligatory that they are not considered to be from the groups of Islamic Da’wah because they are in opposition (to the truth). And how can we follow a group that’s in opposition to the Jamaa’ah of Ahl as-Sunnah and the guidance of the Salaf as-Saalih?! Continue reading →
Question posed to Shaykh Saalih al-Fawzaan (may Allah preserve him):
Is going out for the period of a month or a certain amount of weeks or days like al-Jamaa’at ut-Tabligh, Sunnah or Bid’ah? Is it permissible for a person to go with this Jamaa’ah to learn the legislated knowledge?
This is not permissible, this is an innovation, going out for forty days or four months or four days, this is a innovation and this is a Jamaa’at-us-Sufiyyah. It has been established that it is a Jama’at-us-Sufiyyah Deobandiyyah (ascription to a village in India from which arose the Deobandi ideology).
They have infiltrated to our lands and other than it for the purpose of spreading sufiyyah (sufism). It is not permissible for a person of Sunnah, a person of Tawheed to go out with them because his going with them is aiding them in spreading their innovation. The people will use that as an evidence, they will say so and so has gone with them! Or the people have gone with them! Or the people of that land… Continue reading →
The Noble Shaykh Saalih al-Fawzaan (may Allah have mercy upon him) stated:
This day (the Day of Arafah) has within it a tremendous virtue. When he (the Prophet) was asked about fasting on it he said: “It expiates the previous year and the remaining year,” meaning the following year. Fasting (on that day) expiates two years. This indicates the virtue of fasting the Day of Arafah. Continue reading →
Question: Many people say that those who refute the people of bid’ah are the cause of separation.
Yes, separation between the truth and the falsehood – this is correct. We make a distinction between truth and the falsehood and (also between) the people of truth and the people of falsehood. We are going to refute (the people of falsehood), and the Scholars refuted (the people of falsehood). This is not for the purpose of causing division; this is to gather the people upon the truth, because with people remaining upon misguidance and upon the speech of falsehood, then this causes division between the Muslims. As for clarifying the truth for the people, so they can gather upon it, then this is the da’wah towards unity, not the da’wah towards separation. The da’wah towards separation is when it is said, ‘The people of falsehood are not to be refuted.’ This is the da’wah to division if they only gave thought. Continue reading →
The Noble Shaykh Saalih al-Fawzaan (may Allah preserve him) stated:
When you reach the morning, don’t delay the action (of good) until the night and you say: ‘I’ll do this action tonight’, rather hasten with it and do it. Perhaps you won’t reach the night. And when you reach the night, don’t delay the action (of good) and seeking repentance until the morning. Perhaps you won’t reach the morning. You do not have anything for you except the time that you are in, therefore hasten (to do good) and don’t delay (doing) the good deeds, repentance and seeking forgiveness to another time.
