The Noble Shaykh Muhammmad Ibn Saalih al-‘Uthaymeen (may Allah have mercy upon) stated:
In your spreading of the knowledge, it is spreading of the religion of Allah. Therefore you are from those who strive in the path of Allah. The one striving in the path of Allah opens up the lands one after another in order for him to spread the religion in them. And you are opening up the hearts with the knowledge in order that you spread the legislation of Allah azza wa jall within them.
The Noble Shaykh, al-‘Allāmah, Rabee’ Ibn Hādī ‘Umayr al-Madkhali (may Allāh preserve him) said:
Indeed the people of innovations nowadays are many, filling the earth — refuge is sought with Allāh! Thus we do not boycott all of them, but rather they are the objective (target) of our call. We call them to Allāh with wisdom and fair preaching. As for the leaders and callers to falsehood in their (i.e., Ahlul Bida’) newspapers, magazines, books, articles, lectures, seminars and websites — these are the ones who are to be warred against and warned from. And they are not to be sat with, read from, or benefited from.

Shaykh Muhammad Ibn ‘Umar Baazmool (may Allah preserve him) stated:
The First Step: Acknowledging the reality that every child of Aadam makes mistakes and the best of those who make mistakes are those who repent often. This is the first step in dealing with the mistake when the Salafi or other than him from amongst the people have fallen into the mistake.
The Second Step: We look at the matter which the person has fallen into; is it from the matters of Ijtihaad? Or is it from the matters where the evidence is apparent which mandates traversing towards it? This matter is in need of a (well-grounded) student of knowledge or a scholar to whom we raise up the affair of this brother. We say to him: Oh Shaykh, so and so made a mistake (in such and such matter). How do we deal with him? How should our stance be regarding him? That’s because it’s possible that, that which this brother has fallen into is from the matters of Ijtihaad and not from the matters which mandate him to traverse towards that which the evidence indicates. Question posed to the ‘Allaamah Shaykh Saalih al-Fawzaan (may Allah preserve him):
Question:
Is it permissible to assassinate the disbelieving cartoonist who is known to draw the evil pictures of the Prophet (sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam)?
Answer:
Assassination is not a sound way (to deal with this matter). This increases them in evil and anger against the Muslims. However, that which defeats them is the refutation of their doubts and the clarification of their shameful affairs. As for aiding with arms and weapons, and establishing Jihaad in the way of Allaah, then that is (a prerogative) for the Muslim ruler. Continue reading

Shaykh Rabee’ Ibn Haadi al-Madkhali (may Allah preserve him) stated:
Al-Imam Muhammad Ibn ‘Abdul-Wahaab came and the dunyaa was in a state of darkness. He strove hard by calling to Allah and Allah guided many people by way of him. They were grave worshipers, superstitious, and misguided, and they became guided by way of him. Likewise, [when] Shaykhul-Islaam Ibn Taymiyyah and the Imams of the Da’wah in India from amongst the Salafis came, the dunyaa was in a state of darkness. They spread this call and millions responded.
