Cursing the One who has Cursed the People of Knowledge

Question posed to the Noble Shaykh Rabee’ al-Madkhalee (may Allah preserve him):

Q. Is it permissible for us to curse the one who the people of knowledge have cursed?
A. Cursing, don’t curse. However if the person has been declared to be an innovator and there’s a need to clarify his state for the purpose of advising the people, then clarify. You say about him: “So and so is an innovator. So and so has this affair with him.” As for cursing, then no, there’s to be no cursing. Don’t curse him. If the scholar has cursed him, you don’t curse him. If the scholar has ruled upon him with a ruling that is true concerning him and you see that the people are being harmed by way of him, then it is upon you to clarify his state in order that the people can be aware of his evil and be safe from his evil. ثم إنه لا يليق بالمسلمين أن تكون أخوتهم مجرد كلام وابتسام، مع مخالفة ما في القلوب لما تنطق به الألسنة، بل يجب أن تكون أخوتهم صادقة في الظاهر والباطن، ولا يحمل الأحقاد أخ مؤمن لإخوانه المؤمنين، وإن حصل بينهم ما حصل من مخالفات في حظوظ النفس أو حظوظ الدنيا؛ فإنها لا تخول له أن يحقد على إخوانه المسلمين، أو يبغضهم، أو يسيء بهم الظنون، بل يجب أن يكون مخلصاً في الأخوة وصادقا فيها حتى تجتمع القلوب، وتأتلف على الحق

Salafiyyah Is Purity Of The Hearts – Shaykh Sulaymaan ar-Ruhaylee (hafidhahullaah)

  • The purification of the hearts.
  • Salafiyyah is maintaining the ties of brotherhood

ومن يتق الله يجعل له مخرجا ـ ويرزقه من حيث لا يحتسب

“And whoever fears Allah, He will make a way out for him (from every difficulty) and provide for him from where he didn’t perceive. (Surah 65:2-3)”

The Trials are Similar to the Flood

The Imaam, Shaykh Saalih al-Fawzaan (may Allah preserve him) stated:

Whoever leaves off the Sunnah during the time of trials and tribulations is destroyed along with those who are destroyed. The trials and tribulations are similar to the flood water and nothing saves from it except holding on to the Sunnah.
