Continue reading
The Path is Two Paths
The Noble Shaykh ‘Ubayd al-Jābirī (may Allāh preserve him) stated:
The path is two paths:
1. The First: The Straight Path. This is what Allāh sent down in His Book and what the authentic Sunnah came along with (based upon the actions, speech, and approvals of) the Prophet sallallāhu ‘alayhi wa sallam. This is the clarification of the upright religion which is truly from Allāh. [Note: There is only ONE straight path; there are no subcategories]. Continue reading

Mistakes and Intentions
The Noble Shaykh Ubayd al-Jaabiree (may Allah preserve him) stated:
The mistake is considered a mistake, even if the intentions (of the person committing) were sound. However, the soundness of (one’s) intentions is signified by (one’s) returning back (to the truth) from the mistake. Continue reading

Seeking To Become Known To The Mashaaykh
Question Posed To Shaykh Ubayd al-Jaabiree (may Allaah preserve him):
Some of the youth say, “Get to know the Mashaayikh so that they can know you by name, so that when you return to your land they (the Mashaayikh) can praise you”. What is your advice (regarding this)? May Allaah bless you. Continue reading
Warning Against Narrating a Lie
On the authority of ‘Alee (may Allaah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (sallaahu wa alayhi wa sallam) stated: “Whoever narrates on me a narration and he sees it to be a lie then he is one of the two liars.” (Ibn Maajah Authenticated by Imaam al-Albaani).
Shaykh Ubayd al-Jaabiree commented on this narration:
This Hadeeth is a stern warning against the one who narrates a narration that the person himself sees to be a lie. The threat is directed towards him. Therefore he is one of the two liars. That’s because he agreed with the lie by narrating on him (the one who he got the narration from) that which he knows to be lie. So the one who narrates on others has one of three situations: 1. He knows the truthfulness of that which he narrates or it overwhelms his belief that (the information) is true so he narrates it. The threat is not directed towards this individual, nor any blame or fault on his end. Even if it was to become clear to him (afterwards) that the narration/news is a lie, there’s no sin upon him. Accusing Others of Hizbiyyah Without Any Proof – Shaykh ‘Ubayd al-Jaabiree (hafidhahullaah)
Question Posed to Shaykh Ubayd (hafidhahullaah)
Question:
How do we deal with a people who boycott others, and spread on them publicly that they are Hizbiyeen without any evidence? What is your advice for these individuals?
Answer:
Firstly my son, I don’t know of any scholar who is upon the Sunnah who criticizes without evidence. That’s because Jarh wa Ta’deel is a matter of religion that Allaah is worshipped with. The T’adeel is a praise and the Jarh is the opposite of it. The person will be held accountable on the Day of Judgment for the one he has praised, is the person deserving of the praise or not? Therefore whoever praises one who is deserving of criticism, and the person knows that, then indeed he is one who has deceived Islaam Continue reading
