Shaykhul-Islaam Ibn Taymiyyah (may Allah have mercy upon him) stated:

Not everyone who adorns himself with the Sunnah is a Sunnee. However, during the times of trials and tribulations, you will come to know the (true) men. And the protected one is the one who Allah has protected.

“ليس كل من تحلى بالسنة صار سنيًا، ولكن الفرق عند الفتن تعرف الرجال، والمعصوم من عصمه الله”.
