Precious Advice For The Muslims – Shaykh Ahmad an-Najmi (rahimahullaah)

The Noble Shaykh Ahmad an-Najmi (may Allah have mercy upon him) was asked:

Question: What do you advise the Muslims with in these days of ours?

Answer:
I advise (every Muslim) that he should live upon at-Tawheed and the correct ‘Aqeedah. I advise that he takes care of fulfilling the obligations and mandates and keeps far away from the acts of disobedience and the prohibitions. I advise that he accompanies the best of the people and keeps away from the evil people. I advise that he follows the Sunan and keep away from the innovations. I advise that he takes caution from the Fitan, for they are many in this time. I advise him to stay in his home (to avoid the Fitan) and cry over his sins, just as the Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) said to one of his companions: “Stay in your home and cry over your sins.” And with Allah is the success.

The Books Of Refutation Are A Mercy

The Noble Shaykh Zayd al-Madkhalee (may Allah have mercy upon him) stated:

Indeed I confirm with certainty that the books of refutation have within it mercy for the people in general and for those who have been refuted specifically. None comprehends that except for those with sound intellect from among the people. Therefore understand (this matter), may Allah take you under His care, and don’t think anything except for good about the one who refutes the mistaken ideologies.

Thank Allah For Favoring You With The Sunnah

Al-Imam al-Haafith Ibn al-Qayyim (may Allah have mercy upon him) stated:

I entered upon one of our companions and there was a matter that happened with him which caused him to cry. So I asked him about it and he said: -I remembered that which Allah has bestowed upon me of favor from the Sunnah, knowing it, being free from the doubts of the people and their false principles, being given the success to have clear intellect and sound natural disposition towards that which the Messenger came with. So (thinking about) that made me happy until it caused me to cry.

Worldly Affairs Do Not Separate Those Who Love Each Other For Allah

The Noble Shaykh Muhammad Ibn Saalih al-‘Uthaymeen (may Allah have mercy upon him) stated:

Those who love each other for the sake of Allah, there’s nothing from the affairs of the worldly life that can cut off their love for the sake of Allah. Indeed they are people who only love (each other) for the sake of Allah, nothing separates them except for death. Even if some of them have made a mistake against the others or have fallen short regarding the rights of others, indeed this does not concern them.

No One Lies More Than The Followers of Sayyid Qutb

The Noble Shaykh Rabee’ Ibn Haadi al-Madkhalee (may Allah preserve him) stated:

We have not found any on the face of the earth who lie more than the followers of Sayyid Qutb. No one lies more than them. There’s no one who goes forth to violate the honor of the innocent more than them. I swear by Allah they practice Taqiyyah (a form of lying) and lying more than the Rawaafid. These are the fruits of the cultivation of Sayyid Qutb. It has brought forth a generation of corrupt liars. Their politics are established upon corruption, slander, lying defending the people of falsehood with falsehood and  accusing the people of the truth with fabricated lies.

I Wish I Hadn’t Taken So-and-So as a Close Friend

Shaykhul-Islaam Ibn Taymiyyah (may Allah have mercy upon him) said regarding the statement of Allah:

Oh I wish I hadn’t taken so and so as a close friend. (al-Furqaan: 28)

Whoever takes someone from creation as a close friend in opposition to the commandment of Allah and his Messenger, then this threat is for him.

The Abundance of Numbers Is Not Used As a Proof

Allah The Most High stated:

And if you were to obey the majority of those in the Earth, they would lead you astray from the path of Allah. (Al-An’aam:116)

The Noble Shaykh Muhammad Ibn Saalih al-‘Uthaymeen (may Allah have mercy upon him) stated:

This verse indicates that the abundance of people (being together) is not to be used as a proof against the truth, nor is the small number of those traversing upon a matter from the affairs a proof that it is other than truth. Rather the reality is opposite of that. Indeed the people of the truth are fewer in number but greater with Allah in status and reward. Rather that which is obligatory (upon the people) is to use the paths which lead to it, (truth or falsehood) as a proof for what is the truth and what is falsehood.
