Are Refutations Of Innovators A Cause Of Separation?

Shaykh Saalih Ibn Fawzaan al-Fawzaan was asked:

Question: Many people say that those who refute the people of bid’ah are the cause of separation.

Answer:
Yes, separation between the truth and the falsehood – this is correct. We make a distinction between truth and the falsehood and (also between) the people of truth and the people of falsehood. We are going to refute (the people of falsehood), and the Scholars refuted (the people of falsehood). This is not for the purpose of causing division; this is to gather the people upon the truth, because with people remaining upon misguidance and upon the speech of falsehood, then this causes division between the Muslims. As for clarifying the truth for the people, so they can gather upon it, then this is the da’wah towards unity, not the da’wah towards separation. The da’wah towards separation is when it is said, ‘The people of falsehood are not to be refuted.’ This is the da’wah to division if they only gave thought. Continue reading →

Precious Advice For The Muslims – Shaykh Ahmad an-Najmi (rahimahullaah)

The Noble Shaykh Ahmad an-Najmi (may Allah have mercy upon him) was asked:

Question: What do you advise the Muslims with in these days of ours?

Answer:
I advise (every Muslim) that he should live upon at-Tawheed and the correct ‘Aqeedah. I advise that he takes care of fulfilling the obligations and mandates and keeps far away from the acts of disobedience and the prohibitions. I advise that he accompanies the best of the people and keeps away from the evil people. I advise that he follows the Sunan and keep away from the innovations. I advise that he takes caution from the Fitan, for they are many in this time. I advise him to stay in his home (to avoid the Fitan) and cry over his sins, just as the Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) said to one of his companions: “Stay in your home and cry over your sins.” And with Allah is the success.

The Ruling on Giving Zakaatul-Fitr As Money

A question posed to Imam Ibn Baaz (may Allah have mercy upon him):

Question:
I know that it is not permissible to give money for Zakaatul-Fitr and I mentioned this to my father; however, he didn’t accept it from me. He said that he doesn’t deny the Hadeeth on the Messenger of Allah; however, the country gives money (instead of food) and it’s upon us to do what some of the people do and that is to give money. The Era of Gentleness

The noble imām, ‘Abdul-‘Azīz Ibn ‘Abdullâh Ibn Bāz (rahimahullâh) said:

This era is the era of gentleness, patience and wisdom. It is not the era of harshness. The majority of the people are in a state of ignorance, heedlessness, and giving precedence to the worldly matters. So it is a must that there be patience and gentleness so that the da’wah spreads and reaches the people in order that they come to know (the correct religion). And we ask Allâh to guide all of us.
