-قال الإمام ابن عثيمين -رحمه الله
لا تَجِدُ أحدًا أَنْعَم بالاً، ولا أَشْرَح صَدْرًا، ولا أَشَد طمأنينة في قلبِهِ من المؤمن أبدًا، حتى وإنْ كان فقيرًا، فالمؤمن أشد الناس انشراحًا، وأشد الناس اطمِئْنانًا، وأوسَع صدرًا. واقرَؤُوا إنْ شِئْتُم قولَ الله تعالى {مَنْ عَمِلَ صَالِحًا مِنْ ذَكَرٍ أَوْ أُنْثَى وَهُوَ مُؤْمِنٌ فَلَنُحْيِيَنَّهُ حَيَاةً طَيِّبَةً وَلَنَجْزِيَنَّهُمْ أَجْرَهُمْ بِأَحْسَنِ مَا كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ} ما هي الحياة الطيّبة؟ الجواب: الحياة الطيبة هي انشراح الصدر وطمأنينة القلب، حتى ولو كان الإنسان في أَشَدّ بُؤْس، فإنَّهُ مُطمَئِنُّ القلب مُنشَرِح الصدر Continue reading

Sufyaan ath-Thawree (may Allah have mercy upon him) stated:
There is no weapon for the Shaytaan against the human similar to the fear of poverty. When it (i.e the fear of poverty) falls into the heart of the person, he prevents the truth (from being manifested), he speaks with the (evil, lowly) desires and he has the thoughts of evil about his Lord.
