As for the fake/fraudulent Salafi, the trials and tribulations make him apparent, exposes his reality and it exposes his fraudulence. Therefore be witnesses for Allah even if it be against yourselves, your parents or close relatives.

The Noble Shaykh Rabee’ Ibn Haadi al-Madkhalee (may Allah preserve him) stated:
We have not found any on the face of the earth who lie more than the followers of Sayyid Qutb. No one lies more than them. There’s no one who goes forth to violate the honor of the innocent more than them. I swear by Allah they practice Taqiyyah (a form of lying) and lying more than the Rawaafid. These are the fruits of the cultivation of Sayyid Qutb. It has brought forth a generation of corrupt liars. Their politics are established upon corruption, slander, lying defending the people of falsehood with falsehood and accusing the people of the truth with fabricated lies.

أتباع المبتدع هل يُلحقون به في الهجر؟
: الجواب
المخدوع منهم يُعلّم يا إخوة ، لا تستعجلوا ، علموهم وبيِّنوا لهم ، فإن كثيراً منهم يريد الخير ، حتى من هؤلاء الصوفية والله لو هناك نشاط سلفى
لرأيتهم يدخلون فى السلفية زراقات ووحداناً . فلا يكن القاعدة عندكم فقط هجر و هجر و هجر ، الأساس هداية الناس ، وادخال الناس فى الخير ، الهجر هذا قد يُفهم غلطاً ، إذا هجرت الناس كلهم من يدخل فى السنة ، إذا وضعنا السدود والحواجز بيننا وبينهم بالهجر وبين السنة متى يدخلون في السنة ؟ الهجر هذا يا إخوتاه في وقت الإمام أحمد. الدنيا مليئة بالسلفيين ، وإذا قال الإمام أحمد : فلان مبتدع ؛ سقط ، أما الآن فعندك السلفية كالشعرة البيضاء فى الثور الأسود ، فلا يُهجَر إلا المبتدع المستكبر المعاند ، أما المخدوعون فتأنَّ بهم ، ويُدعون إلى الله بالحكمة والموعظة الحسنة ، فقد يستجيب منهم الكثير .
الأساس هداية الناس وإنقاذهم من الباطل والضلال ، فادعوهم وقرِّبوهم، وقدِّموا للناس الكتب والرسائل العلمية النافعة ، والأشرطة العلمية ، واستخدموا كل وسائل الدعوة المشروعة ، ومنها الخطب والمحاضرات ، فسيحصل بذلك الخير الكثير إن شاء الله ، و يكثر إن شاء الله سواد السلفيين ، وما تخسرون كثيراً من الناس ، كل الناس ضالون عندك ولا تنصح ولا شيء ولا بيان ؟! غلط ! هذا معناه سد أبواب الخير في وجوه الناس ، فلا يكون عندكم فقط هجر هجر. القاعدة الأساسية هداية الناس وإدخالهم في السنة ، وإنقاذهم من الضلال ، هذه القاعدة عندكم ، واصبروا واحلموا وكذا وكذا ، ثم من عاند بعد البيان الواضح فآخر الدواء الكي ، أما الكي من أول مرة ، هذا غلط بارك الله فيكم . : – قال فضيلة الشيخ ربيع بن هادي المدخلي – حفظه الله
نصيحتي لكم أن تدرسوا ، إذا تُكُلم في شخص ، أن تدرسوا عنه ، وتأخذوا أقوال الناقدين وتفهمونها ، وتتأكدون من ثبوتها ، فإذا تبين لكم ذلك فليحكم الإنسان من منطلق الوعي والقناعة لا تقليدا لهذا أو ذاك ولا تعصبا لهذا أو ذاك ، ودعوا الأشخاص فلان وفلان ، هذه خذوها قاعدة وانقلوها لهؤلاء المخالفين ليفهموا الحقيقة فقط ويعرفوا الحق ويخرجوا أنفسهم من زمرة المتعصبين بالباطل ، وأنا لا أرضى لأحد أن يتعصب لي أبدا إذا أخطأت فليقل لي من وقف لي على خطأ أخطأت . بارك الله فيكم ولا يتعصب لأحد هذا أو ذاك ، لا يتعصب لخطأ ابن تيمية ولا ابن عبد الوهاب ولا لأحمد بن حنبل ولا للشافعي ولا لأحد إنما حماسه للحق واحترامه للحق ويجب أن يكره الخطأ ويكره الباطل
The Noble Shaykh Rabee al-Madkhalee (may Allah preserve him) stated:
If we fall short regarding this Deen, leave it to be played with by the people of desires, act like we’re in agreement with them, remain silent about them and name that to be wisdom, then indeed we deserve the anger of Allah.
The Noble Shaykh Rabee’ al-Madkhalee (may Allah preserve him) stated:
Today the one you see from the Hizbees in this land (i.e. Saudia), all of them, their origin is that they were Salafis. All of them became lost due to mixing, cohabiting, reading and listening to the people of desires. All of those that you see now and it is said about them ‘so and so is a Hizbee’, all of them have not become lost except by this way. They have taken the view of ‘I will take the truth (from the people of desires) and I will leave off the falsehood’. So as a result of that he takes the falsehood and leaves off the truth and becomes an enemy of the truth, waging war upon its people.

From the signs of happiness is that you have a concern for the truth, search for it and are happy when you have been alerted to your mistake.
The Noble Shaykh, al-‘Allāmah, Rabee’ Ibn Hādī ‘Umayr al-Madkhali (may Allāh preserve him) said:
Indeed the people of innovations nowadays are many, filling the earth — refuge is sought with Allāh! Thus we do not boycott all of them, but rather they are the objective (target) of our call. We call them to Allāh with wisdom and fair preaching. As for the leaders and callers to falsehood in their (i.e., Ahlul Bida’) newspapers, magazines, books, articles, lectures, seminars and websites — these are the ones who are to be warred against and warned from. And they are not to be sat with, read from, or benefited from.
