Continue reading

Returning Differences to the Quran and Sunnah is Obligatory

Shaykhul-Islaam Ibn Taymiyyah (May Allah have mercy upon him) mentioned:

Whenever the Muslims differ in a matter, returning it back to Allah and the Messenger is obligatory. Therefore whichever of the two statements the Book and the Sunnah prove, it’s obligatory to follow it.

The Fraudulent Salafi

The Noble Shaykh Rabee’ Ibn Haadi al-Madkhali (may Allah preserve him) stated:

Trials and tribulations expose the fraudulent Salafi. It exposes his reality and his fraudulence. Therefore be witnesses for Allah (testifying to the truth) even if it be against yourselves, your parents or your relatives.

Repelling the Evil Before it Takes Place is Easier than Repelling it After it has Happened

Al-Imam Abu Haneefah (may Allah have mercy upon him) stated:

“It is befitting for the Imam (the Muslim ruler), when the news reaches him that the Khawaarij are preparing for combat, to seize them and imprison them in order that they leave this off. This is due to the fact that repelling the evil before it takes place is easier than repelling it after it has happened.” Continue reading

When People See Evil And Do Not Change It, Allah Will Send Down His Punishment Upon Them All

Question posed to Imam Muhammad Ibn Saalih al-Uthaymeen (may Allah have mercy upon him):

How do we bring harmony between the statement of Allah:

“O you who believe! Take care of your own selves, [do righteous deeds, fear Allah much (abstain from all kinds of sins and evil deeds which He has forbidden) and love Allah much (perform all kinds of good deeds which He has ordained)]. If you follow the right guidance and enjoin what is right (Islamic Monotheism and all that Islam orders one to do) and forbid what is wrong (polytheism, disbelief and all that Islam has forbidden) no hurt can come to you from those who are in error. The return of you all is to Allah, then He will inform you about (all) that which you used to do.” (al-Maa-idah: 105)

and the statement of the Messenger (sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam):

Whoever from amongst you sees an evil then let him change it with his hands. If he’s not able to, then with his tongue…? Continue reading

Seeking To Become Known To The Mashaaykh

Question Posed To Shaykh Ubayd al-Jaabiree (may Allaah preserve him):

Some of the youth say, “Get to know the Mashaayikh so that they can know you by name, so that when you return to your land they (the Mashaayikh) can praise you”. What is your advice (regarding this)? May Allaah bless you. Continue reading
