Continue reading

Question Posed to The Noble Shaykh Zayd al-Madkhalī (may Allāh have mercy upon him):
Q. May Allāh reward you with goodness. There are some people who say: “Indeed the bombings in the lands of the non-Muslims is correct in light of their slaughtering the Muslims in Palestine and other regions.” So what is the origin of this matter? Continue reading
The Noble Shaykh ‘Ubayd al-Jābirī (may Allāh preserve him) stated:
The path is two paths:
1. The First: The Straight Path. This is what Allāh sent down in His Book and what the authentic Sunnah came along with (based upon the actions, speech, and approvals of) the Prophet sallallāhu ‘alayhi wa sallam. This is the clarification of the upright religion which is truly from Allāh. [Note: There is only ONE straight path; there are no subcategories]. Continue reading
Shaykhul-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah (may Allāh have mercy upon him) stated:
Whoever has fanaticism towards his land, madh-hab, way (i.e. methodology), family members, and friends, to the exclusion of anything else, then he has within himself a branch from the (branches of) Jāhiliyyah (pre-Islamic era of ignorance). (This fanaticism is prohibited) so that the believers behave as Allah has commanded them to. That they are all to hold on to His Rope, His Book, and the Sunnah of His Messenger together. For indeed their (i.e. the believer’s) book is one; their religion is one; their Prophet is one; their Lord is one, none having the right to be worshiped except He. For Him is the praise in the beginning and the end. For Him is the rulership. And to Him you all shall return.

Shaykhul-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah (may Allāh have mercy upon him):
If the person who speaks the truth intends (with that) being uppermost in the land (over the people) and/or causing corruption therein, then he is on the same level as the one who fights out of fanaticism and showing off. On the other hand, if the person speaks (the truth) sincerely for the sake of Allāh, making the religion for Him (Alone), he is from the Mujāhidīn (i.e. those who strive) on the path of Allāh; (he is from the) inheritors of the Prophets (and) the successors of the Messengers.

On the authority of ‘Abdullāh Ibn Abbās (may Allāh be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallallāhu ‘alayhi wa sallam) stated:
The curse of Allāh is upon the one who misleads a blind from the (right) path. (Imām al-Bukhāri’s al-Adab al-Mufrad, #892)
Shaykh ‘Abdur Razzāq ibn ‘Abdil-Muḥsin al-Badr (may Allāh preserve the both of them) stated: Continue reading
