The Era of Gentleness

The noble imām, ‘Abdul-‘Azīz Ibn ‘Abdullâh Ibn Bāz (rahimahullâh) said:

This era is the era of gentleness, patience and wisdom. It is not the era of harshness. The majority of the people are in a state of ignorance, heedlessness, and giving precedence to the worldly matters. So it is a must that there be patience and gentleness so that the da’wah spreads and reaches the people in order that they come to know (the correct religion). And we ask Allâh to guide all of us. Thank Allah For Favoring You With The Sunnah

Al-Imam al-Haafith Ibn al-Qayyim (may Allah have mercy upon him) stated:

I entered upon one of our companions and there was a matter that happened with him which caused him to cry. So I asked him about it and he said: -I remembered that which Allah has bestowed upon me of favor from the Sunnah, knowing it, being free from the doubts of the people and their false principles, being given the success to have clear intellect and sound natural disposition towards that which the Messenger came with. So (thinking about) that made me happy until it caused me to cry.

Hasten To Do Righteous Actions

The Noble Shaykh Saalih al-Fawzaan (may Allah preserve him) stated:

When you reach the morning, don’t delay the action (of good) until the night and you say: ‘I’ll do this action tonight’, rather hasten with it and do it. Perhaps you won’t reach the night. And when you reach the night, don’t delay the action (of good) and seeking repentance until the morning. Perhaps you won’t reach the morning. You do not have anything for you except the time that you are in, therefore hasten (to do good) and don’t delay (doing) the good deeds, repentance and seeking forgiveness to another time.

Mockery of the People of Knowledge

A question was posed to The Noble Shaykh Muqbil Ibn Haadee al-Waadi’ee (may Allah have mercy upon him):

What is the ruling for the one who makes mockery of the students of knowledge and the ‘ulamaa, describing them with harshness, sternness, and [saying] that they do not understand the modern day affairs?

It is Befitting For a Person to Always Remember Death

The Noble Shaykh Muhammad Ibn Saalih al-‘Uthaymeen stated:

It is befitting for the person to always remember death. Not based upon the matter of separating from the loved ones, because this is (being) short sighted. Rather it is based upon the matter of separating from the (performance of good) actions and the harvesting (of good) for the hereafter. Continue reading
