‘Abdullaah Ibn Mas’ood (may Allah be pleased with him) stated:

“There will come a time upon the people when the believer will be more debased than the female slave…”

Al-Haafidh Ibn Rajab al-Hanbali (may Allah have mercy upon him) commented on this statement saying:

“Indeed the debasement of the believer during the end of time is only due to his strangeness amongst the people of corruption from the people of doubts and desires. All of them despise him and harm him due to the opposition of his to their path. Also it is due to his intent being in opposition to their intent and his clear distance from that which they are upon.”

:ﻗﺎﻝ ﺍﺑﻦ ﻣﺴﻌﻮﺩ

” ﻳﺄﺗﻲ ﻋﻠﻰ ﺍﻟﻨﺎﺱ ﺯﻣﺎﻥ ، ﻳﻜﻮﻥ ﺍﻟﻤﺆﻣﻦ ﻓﻴﻪ ﺃﺫﻝ ﻣﻦ ﺍﻷﻣَﺔ “

:ﺭﺩ ﺍﻹﻣﺎﻡ ﺍﺑﻦ ﺭﺟﺐ ﺍﻟﺤﻨﺒﻠﻲ ﺭﺣﻤﻪ ﺍﻟﻠﻪ ﻣﻌﻠﻘًﺎ
ﻭﺇﻧﻤﺎ ﺫﻝ ﺍﻟﻤﺆﻣﻦ ﺁﺧﺮ ﺍﻟﺰﻣﺎﻥ ﻟﻐﺮﺑﺘﻪ ﺑﻴﻦ ﺃﻫﻞ ﺍﻟﻔﺴﺎﺩ ، ﻣﻦ ﺃﻫﻞ ﺍﻟﺸﺒﻬﺎﺕ ﻭﺍﻟﺸﻬﻮﺍﺕ ، ﻓﻜﻠﻬﻢ ﻳﻜﺮﻫﻪ ، ﻭﻳﺆﺫﻳﻪ ﻟﻤﺨﺎﻟﻔﺔ ﻃﺮﻳﻘﺘﻪ ﻟﻄﺮﻳﻘﺘﻬﻢ ، ﻭﻣﻘﺼﻮﺩﻩ ﻟﻤﻘﺼﻮﺩﻫﻢ ﻭﻣﺒﺎﻳﻨﺘﻪ ﻟﻤﺎ ﻫﻢ ﻋﻠﻴﻪ
