Advice to the Students of Knowledge Regarding Personal Issues – Shaykh Saalih al-Fawzaan
Following The Truth When It Becomes Clear To A Person
The ‘Allaamah Shaykh ‘Abdullah Ibn ‘Abdur Rahmaan Abaa Bateen (may Allah have mercy upon him) stated:
When the truth becomes clear to the person, he doesn’t feel deserted (or alone) because of the few people who are in agreement (with the truth) as well as the abundance of those who are in opposition, especially in the latter part of these times.
(Ad-Durrar as-Saniyyah Fee al-Ajwibah an-Najdiyyah 10/400)
The Allaamah Shaykh ‘Abdullah Ibn ‘Abdur Rahmaan Abaa Bateen (may Allah have mercy upon him) stated commenting on the Hadeeth:
“There will not cease to be a group from my Ummah apparent upon the truth.”
The Shaykh said: “The intended (meaning) of being apparent (upon the truth) is not by way of the sword, rather by way of the proofs (and evidences) always, and the sword sometimes.” Continue reading
Returning Differences to the Quran and Sunnah is Obligatory
Shaykhul-Islaam Ibn Taymiyyah (May Allah have mercy upon him) mentioned:
Whenever the Muslims differ in a matter, returning it back to Allah and the Messenger is obligatory. Therefore whichever of the two statements the Book and the Sunnah prove, it’s obligatory to follow it.

5 Steps To Correcting The Mistake Which The Salafi and Other Than Him Has Fallen Into
Shaykh Muhammad Ibn ‘Umar Baazmool (may Allah preserve him) stated:
The First Step: Acknowledging the reality that every child of Aadam makes mistakes and the best of those who make mistakes are those who repent often. This is the first step in dealing with the mistake when the Salafi or other than him from amongst the people have fallen into the mistake.
The Second Step: We look at the matter which the person has fallen into; is it from the matters of Ijtihaad? Or is it from the matters where the evidence is apparent which mandates traversing towards it? This matter is in need of a (well-grounded) student of knowledge or a scholar to whom we raise up the affair of this brother. We say to him: Oh Shaykh, so and so made a mistake (in such and such matter). How do we deal with him? How should our stance be regarding him? That’s because it’s possible that, that which this brother has fallen into is from the matters of Ijtihaad and not from the matters which mandate him to traverse towards that which the evidence indicates. The Ruling on Assassinating the Cartoonist Who Draws Evil Pictures of The Prophet
Question posed to the ‘Allaamah Shaykh Saalih al-Fawzaan (may Allah preserve him):
Question:
Is it permissible to assassinate the disbelieving cartoonist who is known to draw the evil pictures of the Prophet (sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam)?
Answer:
Assassination is not a sound way (to deal with this matter). This increases them in evil and anger against the Muslims. However, that which defeats them is the refutation of their doubts and the clarification of their shameful affairs. As for aiding with arms and weapons, and establishing Jihaad in the way of Allaah, then that is (a prerogative) for the Muslim ruler. Continue reading
He Will Be Exposed…
The Noble Shaykh al-Allaamah Ahmad Ibn Yahyaa an-Najmi (may Allah have mercy upon) stated:
“The one who outwardly displays to the people that he’s upon the Sunnah and Salafiyyah, but (in reality) he’s a innovator, it’s a must that Allah will expose his inner affairs no matter how long he remains hidden.”

Eating From the Food Prepared for Thanksgiving
A question Abu Yusuf Khaleefah posed to Shaykh Mustafaa Mubrim (may Allah preserve him) today:
Shaykh, I work in a hospital and there are Muslim patients here. Today the administration had food cooked for the patients for an early Thanksgiving celebration. Being that Thanksgiving is really next week and not today, can the Muslims eat from this food?
The Shaykh answered:
No. It is not allowed for the Muslims to eat from this food since it has been cooked for the reason of celebrating Thanksgiving. The major scholars like Shaykh Saalih and others have fataawa regarding the prohibition of eating from the food that has been prepared for the celebration of the holidays of the kuffaar. If you eat from that food, this means you have joined with them in the celebration of the holiday.
Abu Yusuf then asked the Shaykh (may Allah preserve him):
What about the leftover food? For example, can they eat from that food tomorrow, after the celebration is over? Continue reading
The Fraudulent Salafi
The Noble Shaykh Rabee’ Ibn Haadi al-Madkhali (may Allah preserve him) stated:
Trials and tribulations expose the fraudulent Salafi. It exposes his reality and his fraudulence. Therefore be witnesses for Allah (testifying to the truth) even if it be against yourselves, your parents or your relatives.

Repelling the Evil Before it Takes Place is Easier than Repelling it After it has Happened
Al-Imam Abu Haneefah (may Allah have mercy upon him) stated:
“It is befitting for the Imam (the Muslim ruler), when the news reaches him that the Khawaarij are preparing for combat, to seize them and imprison them in order that they leave this off. This is due to the fact that repelling the evil before it takes place is easier than repelling it after it has happened.” Continue reading
