نموذجان من شدة زهد عمر بن الخطاب رضي الله عنه في الدنيا

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

عن نافع قال: سمعت ابن عمر يحدث سعيد بن جبير قال: بلغ عمر بن الخطاب أن يزيد بن أبي سفيان كان يأكل ألوانا من الطعام، فقال عمر لمولى له يقال له يرفأ: إذا علمت أنه قد حضر عشاؤه فأعلمني. فلما حضر عشاؤه أعلمته، فأتاه عمر فسلم واستأذن، فأذن. وقرب عشاؤه، فجاءه بثريدة بلحم فأكل معه عمر، ثم قرب شواء فبسط يزيد يده وكف عمر يده ثم قال: بالله يا يزيد بن أبي سفيان أطعاما بعد طعام؟ والذي نفس عمر بيده لئن خالفتم عن سنتهم ليخالفن بكم عن طريقهم”. رواه ابن المبارك في الزهد، وابن أبي الدنيا في إصلاح المال وابن شبة في أخبار المدينة وابن عساكر في تاريخ دمشق بسند حسن. وهذا ليس تحريما من عمر رضي الله عنه لأكل ألوان الطعام ولكن تذكير بعيش رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم وما كان عليه من شظف العيش، وقلة الطعام، إيثارا للباقية على العاجلة. A Warning To All Who Sit In The Masjid And Talk About The Dunyaa

Ibn Mas’ood (may Allah be pleased with him) came out upon a people who were speaking in the Masjid after the Adhaan so he prohibited them from talking. He said:

Indeed you have only come for the prayer, so either you pray or remain silent. For indeed, I heard the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم say:

ﺳَﻴَﻜُﻮﻥُ ﻓِﻲ ﺁﺧِﺮِ ﺍﻟﺰَّﻣَﺎﻥِ ﻗَﻮْﻡٌ ﻳَﺠْﻠِﺴُﻮﻥَ ﻓِﻲ ﺍﻟْﻤَﺴَﺎﺟِﺪِ ﺣِﻠَﻘًﺎ ﺣِﻠَﻘًﺎ ﺇِﻣَﺎﻣُﻬُﻢُ ﺍﻟﺪُّﻧْﻴَﺎ ، ﻓَﻼ ﺗُﺠَﺎﻟِﺴُﻮﻫُﻢْ ، ﻓَﺈِﻧَّﻪُ ﻟَﻴْﺲَ ﻟِﻠَّﻪِ ﻓِﻴﻬِﻢْ ﺣَﺎﺟَﺔٌ .
There will be at the end of the time people who sit in the Masaajid, circles upon circles. Their leader is the Dunyaa. Don’t sit with them for surely Allah has no need for them.

Be Keen On Benefiting Your Brothers And Sisters

The Noble Scholar Shaykh Ibn Baz (may Allah have mercy upon him) said:

The legislation for the Muslim when he hears a benefit is that he is to convey to others. Likewise the Muslimah conveys to others what she has heard from the knowledge due to the statement of the Prophet  صلى الله عليه وسلم:

ﺑﻠﻐﻮﺍ ﻋﻨﻲ ﻭﻟﻮ ﺁﻳﺔ
Convey on me even if it is one matter. (Sahih al-Bukhari 3461)

Also when he would address the people in a sermon he would say:

ﻟﻴﺒﻠﻎ ﺍﻟﺸﺎﻫﺪ ﺍﻟﻐﺎﺋﺐ ﻓﺮﺏ ﻣﺒﻠﻎ ﺃﻭﻋﻰ ﻣﻦ ﺳﺎﻣﻊ
Let the one who witnesses this speech convey to the one who is absent, for it is possible that the one who the information has been conveyed to has more understanding than the one who actually heard it. (Sahih al-Bukhari 1741)

أحرص على إفادة  إخوانك

ﻗَـﺎﻝَ ﺍلشيخ ﺑﻦُ ﺑـﺎﺯٍ – ﺭَﺣِﻤﻪُ ﺍﻟﻠﻪ –

“ﻭﺍﻟﻤﺸﺮﻭﻉ ﻟﻠﻤﺴﻠﻢ ﺇﺫﺍ ﺳﻤﻊ ﺍﻟﻔﺎﺋﺪﺓ ﺃﻥ ﻳﺒﻠﻐﻬﺎ ﻏﻴﺮﻩ، ﻭﻫﻜﺬﺍ ﺍﻟﻤﺴﻠﻤﺔ ﺗﺒﻠﻎ ﻏﻴﺮﻫﺎ ﻣﺎ ﺳﻤﻌﺖ ﻣﻦ ﺍﻟﻌﻠﻢ  ﻟﻘﻮﻝ ﺍﻟﻨﺒﻲ ﺻﻠﻰ ﺍﻟﻠﻪ ﻋﻠﻴﻪ ﻭﺳﻠﻢ : ‏« ﺑﻠﻐﻮﺍ ﻋﻨﻲ ﻭﻟﻮ ﺁﻳﺔ ‏» ، ﻭﻛﺎﻥ ﺻﻠﻰ ﺍﻟﻠﻪ ﻋﻠﻴﻪ ﻭﺳﻠﻢ ﺇﺫﺍ ﺧﻄﺐ ﺍﻟﻨﺎﺱ ﻳﻘﻮﻝ : ‏« ﻟﻴﺒﻠﻎ ﺍﻟﺸﺎﻫﺪ ﺍﻟﻐﺎﺋﺐ ﻓﺮﺏ ﻣﺒﻠﻎ ﺃﻭﻋﻰ ﻣﻦ ﺳﺎﻣﻊ ‏».

Advice on Raising Children

Shaykh Muqbil, the Muḥaddith of Yemen, was asked his advice on the upbringing and nurturing of our children. The following was his reply, which should be written in gold:

All praise be to Allāh and may the peace and blessings be upon the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ. To proceed: The upbringing of children is from the important affairs and is problematic. As for it being important, that is because the child takes from whomsoever he mixes with. If his father is a singer, then he will not hear except that his father singing. And if his father is an author, then from the very start, he will have a sheet of paper and pen drawing in a notebook until he fills up the notebook.

We say it’s like this: if his father is a officer and you were to say to him: “What would you like to be,” he will say, “I would like to be a officer,” and if his father is a scholar and you were to ask him, “what would you like to be,” he would say “I would like to be a scholar.” This is in his childhood before he begins to mingle in the streets. التسبيح بعد الصلاة

:نصيحة الشيخ الالبانى للذين يسرعون فى التسبيح بعد الصلاة

“أرى كثيراً من الناس الذين يظهر أنَّهم ملتزمين -ليس فقط بالفرائض- بل وبالنوافل وبالأمور المستحبة، كالذكر بعد الصلاة -مثلاً- والتسبيح والتحميد والتكبير ونحو ذلك؛ أرى بعضهم حينما يريد أن يعمل بقوله -عليه السلام-: ((من سبح الله دبر كل صلاة ثلاث وثلاثين، وحمد الله ثلاثاً وثلاثين، وكبَّر الله ثلاثاً وثلاثين، ثم قال تمام المئة لا إله إلا الله وحده لا شريك له، له الملك وله الحمد وهو على كل شئ قدير، غُفرت له ذنوبه وإن كانت مثل زبد البحر)). هذا حديثٌ صحيح، ورواه الإمام مسلم في صحيحه. حينما يريدون العمل بهذا الحديث، ترى بعضهم لا يكاد يبين بلسانه عن تسبيح الله وتحميده وتكبيره؛ فماذا تسمع؟ Continue reading →
