The Secret Of The Salaah

Shaykhul-Islaam Ibn Al-Qayyim Al-Jawziyyah (may Allah have mercy upon him) stated:

The secret of the Salaah, its soul and core is the slave’s turning to Allah in totality whilst in the prayer. Therefore, just as it is not befitting that he turns his face away from the Qiblah to other than it during the Salaah, it is likewise not befitting to turn his heart away from his Lord to other than Him during the Salaah. Also what is the ruling if the opposite was to happen? She becomes clean from her menses and the time of the obligatory Salaah from one of the five obligatory prayers is still in. Does she pray or not?

Answer:
If the woman reaches (the time of) prayer from one of the (five) prayers, and she didn’t perform it until her menses came upon her, indeed it is obligatory upon her to pray that Continue reading
