It Is Human Nature To Forget

On the authority of Abu Hurayrah  (may Allāh be pleased with him) that the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم)  said:

Whoever forgets while he is fasting and he eats or drinks, let him continue (complete) his fast. Indeed it was only Allāh who fed him and gave him drink. (Agreed Upon)

The Noble Scholar Shaykh Ibn Bāz (may Allāh have mercy upon him) commented:

Do Not Blame Your Lord

The Noble Shaykh Ibn Bāz (may Allāh have mercy upon him) stated:

Rather, it is upon you to return back to yourself and take account of yourself, for indeed your Lord is All-Wise and All-Knowing. Therefore, return back to yourself and look. Continue reading

Imām al-Qurtubī (may Allāh have mercy upon him) stated:

Why did Allāh resemble the Dunyā to the water in His statement:

And put forward to them the example of the life of this world, it is like the water (rain) which We send down from the sky… (Soorah Al-Kahf: 45)

The wise ones have stated: Allāh resembled the Dunyā to the water (due to the following reasons): Continue reading
