وَلَا تَلْبِسُوا الْحَقَّ بِالْبَاطِلِ وَتَكْتُمُوا الْحَقَّ وَأَنتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ
And mix not truth with falsehood, nor conceal the truth [i.e. Muhammad Peace be upon him is Allah’s Messenger and his qualities are written in your Scriptures, the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel)] while you know (the truth). (Soorah Al-Baqara: 42)

The Noble Shaykh Sālih al-Fawzān (may Allah preserve him) stated explaining this verse:

This is another prohibition – covering up the truth with falsehood. Meaning, mixing the truth with falsehood. That which is obligatory is that the truth be distinguished from that which is falsehood. Continue reading →
