The Noble Scholar Shaykh Sulaymān Ar-Ruhaylī حفظه الله stated:

“O my brother, O my brother, O my brother, I swear by Allāh, I’m a sincere advisor to you. If that which is being sought from you to say (about someone) with your tongue, does not agree with that which is in your heart, beware of speaking, even if the people boycott you. What are you going to say to Allāh when you are resurrected and Allāh speaks to you directly with no interpreter and Allāh knows what’s in your heart and He knows that which you said you only said it to appease the people but that which is in your heart is other than that?!
