The Prophet ﷺ said:

“Let not one of you beat his wife like she’s a slave and then go to her at the end of the day to have relations with her.”

[Al-Bukhari]

The scholars have mentioned that this type of behavior is contradictory to love.

The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said:

“Whoever is pleased that he loves Allāh and His Messenger, let him read the Mushaf.”

[Sahīh Al-Jāmi’ 6289]

Reading the Qurān is a cause for one to love Allāh and His Messenger ﷺ. So the more the person reads the Qurān, the greater the love.

Shaykhul-Islām Ibn Taymiyyah رحمه الله stated:

“It’s not permissible for anyone to despair from the mercy of Allāh even if his sins are catastrophic.”

[Majmu’ Al-Fatāwā 16/19]

The Noble Scholar Shaykh Al-Bashīr Al-Ibrāhīmī رحمه الله stated:

“O Muslims, indeed the bond of marriage is a serious bond. Those who are noble preserve it and those who are corrupt play around with it.”

[Al-Āthār 3/299]

قال الشيخ البشير الإبراهيمي رحمه الله :

أيها المسلمون: إن عقدة الزواج عقدة مؤكدة، يحافظ عليها الأحرار، ويتلاعب بها الفجّار

[الآثار ٢٩٩\٣]

Wahb bin Munabbih رحمه الله stated:

“Memorize three things from me:

●Beware of (evil) desires that are followed.

●Beware of (having) an evil companion.

●Beware of (being) a person who is amazed with himself.”

[Siyar A’lām An-Nubalā 4/548]

قال وهب بن منبه : احفظوا عني ثلاثاً : إياكم وهوىً متبعاً، وقرين سوءٍ، وإعجاب المرء بنفسه

[سير أعلام النبلاء ( ٥٤٨/٤) ]

Allāh تعالى stated:

{We have not revealed the Qurān to you in order for you to be miserable} [Tāhā:2]

Qatādah رحمه الله stated:

“No, by Allāh, Allāh didn’t make it (a cause of) misery. However, He made it a mercy, a light and a guide to paradise.”

[Ad-Durar Al-Manthūr 5/552]

﴿{ما أنزلنا عليك القرآن لتشقى}﴾

قال قتادة – رحمَهُ الله -: لا والله، ما جعله الله شقاءً، ولكن جعله الله رحمةً ونورًا ودليلًا إلى الجنة.

[الدرر المنثور ٥٥٢/٥]

The Noble Scholar Shaykh Muhammad Nasrud-Dīn Al-Albānī رحمه الله stated:

The Noble Scholar Shaykh Muhammad Nasrud-Dīn Al-Albānī رحمه الله stated:

“It’s possible that the person can be Salafī in his creed however, he’s not Salafī in his upbringing and behavior.”
