The Qurān Is Mercy And Not A Cause Of Misery

Allāh تعالى stated:

{We have not revealed the Qurān to you in order for you to be miserable} [Tāhā:2]

Qatādah رحمه الله stated:

“No, by Allāh, Allāh didn’t make it (a cause of) misery. However, He made it a mercy, a light and a guide to paradise.”

[Ad-Durar Al-Manthūr 5/552]

﴿{ما أنزلنا عليك القرآن لتشقى}﴾

قال قتادة – رحمَهُ الله -: لا والله، ما جعله الله شقاءً، ولكن جعله الله رحمةً ونورًا ودليلًا إلى الجنة.

Be Salafī In Your Creed And Deeds

The Noble Scholar Shaykh Muhammad Nasrud-Dīn Al-Albānī رحمه الله stated:

The Noble Scholar Shaykh Muhammad Nasrud-Dīn Al-Albānī رحمه الله stated:

“It’s possible that the person can be Salafī in his creed however, he’s not Salafī in his upbringing and behavior.”

The Dunyā and The Hereafter (The Two Wives)

Wahb bin Munabbih رحمه الله stated:

“The life of this world and the hereafter is like a man with two wives. If he pleases one of them he angers the other.”

[Jāmi’ Al-‘Ulūm wal-Hikam 2/203]

قال وهب بن منبه – رحمه الله تعالى

إنما الدنيا والآخرة كرجل له امرأتان ، إن أرضى إحداهما أسخط الأخرى

[جامع العلوم والحكم ٢٠٣/٢]

The Guarantee of Paradise From The Prophet ﷺ

The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said:

“Guarantee me six things from yourself and I will guarantee you the paradise:

  1. Be truthful when you speak.
  2. Keep your word when you make a promise.
  3. Fulfill your responsibility when you are entrusted.
  4. Preserve your privates (from committing Zinā).
  5. Lower your gazes (from looking at the Harām).
  6. Restrain your hands (from causing unjust harm).”
