Shaykh Muhammad Ibn ‘Umar Baazmool (may Allah preserve him) stated:
The man being upright and the woman being upright does not mean that there aren’t things between them that does not please the other. It’s possible that there can be in the righteous man an aspect of character that his wife hates in him and the opposite likewise.
It’s not a condition of uprightness that the person is free from every defect or deficiency. The Muslim is to conduct himself in a manner in which the Messenger of Allah (sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam) taught us.
Imam Muslim mentions in his Saheeh (# 1469) on the authority of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said, “The believing man should not hate the believing woman. If he dislikes a trait of hers, he is pleased with another.”
